Kievskaya Ploshchad will build a shopping and office complex as part of the Nagatinskaya transporation interchange hub

12 September 2019

The Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies has developed an architectural concept for the construction of the Nagatinskaya Transportation Interchange Hub on Varshavskoye Highway, which will be a multifunctional hub that meets international standards. It will link the three types of public transportation into a single efficient system. This will significantly increase passenger flow and increase comfort when traveling lengthy and complex routes.

The shopping and office complex within the Nagatinskaya TIH will become the largest site when traveling southbound from the center of Moscow and will be a place of both business and entertainment.

A multi-level transit passenger complex with a convenient transfer system for passengers will combine three types of transportation under one roof: the Nizhniye Kotly railway platform (in the direction of Stupino and Domodedovo), the Nagatinskaya metro station of the Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya line, and eight other urban transportation routes.

In addition, the project provides for a pedestrian crosswalk to the Verkhniye Kotly station of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway. It is expected that passenger traffic will increase by 20-30% (it can reach 16,000 people during rush hour) while comfort will be improved at the same time.

The new Nagatinskaya TIH will connect different types of transportation into a single and convenient system, which will facilitate the city's logistics and transport situation, saving passengers time and improving the comfort of their movement. In addition, the project will improve the traffic situation on the Varshavskoye Highway as a whole.

The new terminal building will sprawl across some 230,000 square meters and will have a parking lot, a business center, a shopping complex with an area of more than 50,000 square meters, cafes, restaurants, a movie theater several floors high, a fitness center, and a children's recreation center. The modern shopping, entertainment, and office center within the Nagatinskaya TIH will become a catalyst for the development of the surrounding area while digital technologies will significantly expand the capabilities of visitors and operators of the new space.

Aleksey Rogozin has been appointed director general of Nagatinskaya TIH. He is a professional with extensive managerial experience in implementing large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects as well as in implementing innovative technologies. In particular, Aleksey Rogozin took part in the reorganization of the Spetsstroy of Russia and the reform of the military-construction complex.

Pride is the organization working as the designers of the project. The company's specialists are considered one of the leaders in the application of BIM-technologies (building information modeling technologies). Their most famous projects include the Irina Viner-Usmanova Rhythmic Gymnastics Center in Luzhniki (a winner of multiple international architectural competitions), the grounds of the Luzhniki and Dinamo complexes and others. In the spring of 2019, Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies successfully bid on the Nagatinskaya TIH tender and it is not included in the company's portfolio.

God Nisanov, chairman of the board of directors of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies, said:

"The development of the city’s transportation network is one of the priority areas of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group. Thus, the South Gates international bus terminal project was successfully implemented in Moscow. Since 2017, the group has been modernizing the Shchelkovsky bus station as part of the Shchelkovsky TIH, and today Kievskaya Ploshchad is starting to carry out the Nagatinskaya TIH project. We intend to continue to bid on tenders to develop and implement projects related to the construction of transportation hubs both in Moscow and throughout the region.
